Colour Screens

For these colour screens we looked at different colour pallets and websites that helped us to create some very simple examples of different colour pallets that could be used on applications.

One of the websites that we used to help create these colour pallets was the “Adobe Color” which provides a colour wheel that allows you to change the colour and it will automatically match that colour with supporting ones.

Colour Blindness

When we look at designing websites and designing apps, it is important to think about those that will be using our designs. While yes, the majority of the people that will be using the websites that we create wont be colour blind it is still important for us to consider those that are in our designs. In the UK alone there is estimated to be around three million people with colour blindness which makes up 4.5% of the population.

With these statistics in mind, we might want to look over our projects after their completion to see if we can help that 4.5% demographic to be able to use our designs with ease.

We used websites like “Toptal” that allowed us to change the colour of various other websites to help see the different spectrums of colour blindness. This means that once we’ve created a website we can see what colours work best across all spectrums and this could guide us on choosing the correct colours to use.
