With this project we where tasked with creating a smart watch interface for playing music. This project was actually really interesting, the task challenged us to think about what are the most important aspects of a music app and what are the most vital pieces of information that should be displayed to the user.

With smart watches, because the screen is smaller than most digital devices, the key pieces of information that I chose where the name of the artist or band and the time bar for the song. You can other pieces of information displayed on the watch like the album name etc. However there should be a typography hierarchy and within that heirarchy the most vital text should be larger and more pronounced than others.

We also used the apple watch and its different colour schemes as an example of good colour pallets that should be used on a small display to make it as legible as possible. The Apple website gives examples of the traditional colours that it uses in their UI, some of the colours can be found in the images above.
